This is the second year that I have been able to do a garden and it has gone a lot better than the first. We added a little more space and were able to put a lot more of the things we wanted in it. Next year I am hoping to get it put in a little earlier. Especially since now we have a sprinkler system! It was a lot of work and a whole bunch of digging, but we got it done and now can flip a switch and water from the ditch that runs through a pipe in our yard. We have gotten some good food from the garden and I was able to can quite a bit of it. This year we planted corn, green beans (I was able to can about 30 pints of beans), cherry tomatoes, beafsteak tomatoes, big pumpkins, baby pumpkins, cantaloupe, carrots, lettuce, spaghetti squash, cabbage, and celery. I am still waiting to see if the celery will do anything, but I thought it would be fun. It was a great way to get outside with the girls and it has been so nice to have our own fresh produce to eat. Next year however I will not be planting 4 cherry tomato plants. I seem to be the only one that likes to eat them and I don't like them
that much.

| I couldn't take Marly out too often because she can crawl off the blanket and likes to eat dirt and rocks |
