Valentine's Day

 This Valentine's Day we decided to do something special. The last few we have just gotten fast food and eaten it by candlelight. We couldn't really go out any where because I didn't feel up to it and with a 3 week old we couldn't have gone somewhere for very long. Mitch still wanted to do something special, so he went to Clark's Meat and got us some delicious T-bone steaks. Mitch did the entire meal and it was so good. The potatoes are real potatoes mixed with cheese, bacon, and sour cream. Then he did some carrots with brown sugar. The steak was cooked to perfection. My husband can cook! For dessert I found a recipe online for red velvet cheesecake. It had to sit over night, so I made it
Sunday and by Monday it was perfect. Cheesecake is one of my favorite desserts, so it was well worth the wait. It is best when doing a cheesecake like this not to look at the nutrition facts.
  It was so nice to spend Mitch's last day of paternity leave having a nice dinner and just hanging out as a family. We were sad that he had to go back, but I am sure he appreciates not having to be my slave since I have been a little lazy lately. =)He is such a wonderful husband and I look forward to many more Valentine's dinners with him.

Thanks to Grandma Debbie Revelli for giving the girls these fun Valentine's Day shirts. Surprisingly Maddi liked it and actually wore it. Marly isn't picky yet, and I thought they looked so cute together. I love it. We had such a wonderful Valentine's day. Maddi has been such a wonderful big helper. She loves to give the baby soft kisses and rub her head. She also tells the baby it will be okay when she starts crying. So far no jealousy, and I am keeping my fingers crossed that she continues to love her baby sister. She has even started pretending that some of her animals are named Marly. So now we have Daddy, Mommy, Maddi, and Marly animals. I love my little family and couldn't be more thankful!
