Maddi is 4 years old!

What happened to my little baby? Time has flown by and I am still kind of stunned that I have a 4 year old on my hands. We had a super big weekend to celebrate her birthday. Mitch's little brother stayed with us for 2 weeks and his parents came to pick him up just in time for Maddi's birthday. So we knew we were having family for part of it, but we also wanted some friends over to celebrate. Saturday morning we had some friends over for a pool party. Part of our present to Maddi was a swimming pool. Marly has enjoyed it probably twice as much as Maddi has. Not very many kids lasted too long, but Mitch had given the okay to play on the lawn. Whoo hoo!! The kids ran crazy and then we had hot dogs, fruit, cheetos, and mini cheesecakes and brownies for dessert. Maddi got spoiled by all her friends and was super excited about all her gifts. Thanks to all the friends if any of you read this.

Then after all the kids left Mitch's parents got here with Maddi's cousin Jade. They played for a couple hours and then we went out for pizza. We had her birthday party Sunday (which was her actual birthday) Mitch's sister Kaeli and her husband Troy got there while we were all at church. Maddi requested Mac'N Cheese and banana cake. I tried to make a crown cake, but it kind of came out looking like a castle from Candy Land or something. Oh well Maddi was super excited about it. We sang "Happy Birthday" and after Maddi blew out the candles the girls dug in face first. Then we had presents which I think she was pretty excited about. She got spoiled even more than she probably should of. That is what I get for taking Mitch shopping with me. =) I also made Maddi a superhero cape. It is all purple and has a star on the back of it.   I will eventually get to taking some pictures of Maddi for her 4 year old portrait, but maybe we will combine preschool with her 4 year old portraits. Thanks family and friends for a great weekend for Maddi. She loved every minute of it and was kind of bummed when it was over. Monday morning she woke up and said, "Mom am I still 4, even though my birthday is over?". Gotta love that crazy kid. She is growing up way too fast and I still can't keep up with her. We love you Maddi!
